This book, which historically can be considered as the most basic lexical reference of Nicardian, the Provençal language’s Nice area dialect, is a near exact reprint of the New Nicardian-French Dictionary by Jean-Baptiste Calvino published in 1908 with a simple and most consistent orthography with that of the ancient writers of Nice together with the conjugation of irregular verbs, feminine adjectives and phrases, etc. In addition to providing the original text in as authentic condition as possible, this new edition contains the correction of errors in the verb conjugations provided in the preface section as well as in the individual dictionary entries for irregular verbs. The orthographic regulations and conjugation rules provided in this edition have been harmonised with those identified by Sardou and Calvino in the Grammar of the Nicardian Language as well as with those provided in the preface of this lexical reference. Furthermore, as an additional feature, the electronic book PDF edition provides an index of verbs with conjugation, to better enable the use of the linguistic information that this precious dictionary contains.
