The Journal for Macrobiotic Vegan Topics and Issues Relevant for Human Life

A nouveau journal initiative of the Authentic Vegan Organisation, dedicated to information dissemination and knowledge creation regarding veganism as a dietary choice and lifestyle in addition to addressing all topics of relevance for the sustenance of human life and livelihood, being particularly motivated by the present dilemma, in which most of the earth’s population are reliant on non-vegan dietary regimens, thus not only highly reliant on animal-origin nutrient sources but also being dependent on inferior quality nutrients for the fulfilment of their bodies’ nutrient needs, for the sustenance of their life energies.

The first volume articles of Authentic Veganism: The Journal for Macrobiotic Vegan Topics and Issues Relevant for Human Life, collected together under the heading On Critical Positions against Veganism, form the position of authentic macrobiotic veganism, commonly known as authentic veganism, on the recently publicised critical position of the German Nutrition Society regarding the capability of veganism to furnish the human body with adequate nutrient supply and are published for the benefit of the vegan population around the world by The Authentic Vegan Group, formed by Authentic Vegan, Consulting and Publishing Organisations, during the year 2016.

Volume 1, Issue 1

The first issue of the first volume of Authentic Veganism, which contains the first article of the discussion series, titled On Critical Positions against Veganism 1: An Introduction, provides a global overview on the general landscape affecting veganism as a dietary choice and lifestyle around the world by being informative and comprehensive in its discussion by providing the reader with sufficient understanding to gain the ultimate knowledge-based confidence that veganism is truly the only appropriate nourishment regimen for humans.

This first volume’s second issue contains an article titled On Critical Positions against Veganism 2: News, Science and Conclusions, which is the second part of a series of articles motivated by the German Nutrition Society’s critical viewpoint towards the capacity of veganism to provide adequate nutrient supply. This first volume’s third issue contains an article titled On Critical Positions against Veganism 3: Individual Impact and the Authentic Vegan Response, which is the third part of a series of articles motivated by the German Nutrition Society’s critical viewpoint towards the capacity of veganism to provide adequate nutrient supply.  This contribution discusses the perception of veganism as a dietary preference and how it affects the individual vegan dieter in a world in which eating, the general process of nutrient intake, is largely a social habit, thus often socially conditioned and influenced in a manner that poses additional challenges for vegan dieters in particular, especially in a context in which negative news bytes deteriorate the common perception concerning this vital dietary practice for human life and existence, which arguably is the only appropriate nourishment regimen for humans.

This first volume’s sixth issue contains an article titled On Critical Positions against Veganism 6: The Case of Vitamin B12, which is the sixth part of a series of articles motivated by the German Nutrition Society’s critical viewpoint towards the capacity of vegan dieting to provide adequate nutrient supply. The article contained in this issue provides a comprehensive discussion on the case of vitamin B12, a nutrient which deficiency is commonly considered a possible consequence of vegan dieting. By relying on the existing scientific results and by applying the divine creation and intelligent design methodology and perspective, this article argues that vitamin B12 or alike nutrient compounds of essence are internally manufactured by the human body from its various provitamin forms that are amply available in selected plant-origin nourishment, which form the group of qualified nourishment plants of authentic macrobiotic veganism.

The article contained in this journal provides a discussion on the relevant insights that can be drawn from the prevailing criticism towards veganism as a dietary choice, arguing that the most notable insight is the importance of nutritional balance monitoring, an individual vegan dieter’s elevated awareness concerning the importance of the proper nutritional balance for human health, the adequate intake of all essential nutrients from their diverse plant-origin sources in a balanced and continual manner. Furthermore, the potential for nutritional deficiencies, chronic nutritional imbalances and the deterioration for human health that they have potential in causing, elevates the importance of nutritional value content of the dietetic staples in vegan diets in order to guarantee that they do not contain phytochemicals that inhibit nutrient absorption or other antinutritious organic compounds detrimental for human health, a quality absence of which is a requisite for nourishment plants as well as nourishment preparation methods endorsed by the authentic macrobiotic vegan diet.
